Session 5: When and Where Do I Prophesy?
Synopsis
In this lesson, we explored the dynamic relationship between prophecy, the Holy Spirit, and believers. Emphasizing the importance of relying on the Holy Spirit, we learned that prophecy involves two powerful individuals: the giver and the receiver. Understanding that prophecy can be received, shelved, or disposed of, we engaged in a practical exercise of seeking prophetic insight. By asking the Holy Spirit for a mental picture and then interpreting its significance, followed by seeking a relevant scripture, participants experienced the exhilarating process of spiritual revelation. Through this exercise, we discovered the joy and surprise of receiving and interpreting prophetic insights, reinforcing our reliance on the Holy Spirit for guidance and revelation in our lives.
